We’re doing for Western Victorian fashions what Banana Republic did for safari clothing,” says Larry Bitterman, owner of the Old Frontier Clothing Col, in Beverly Hills, who, by his own admission, “was born one hundred years too late.” Bitterman describes his company as a “Purveyor of authentic Western dry goods” – not dude duds – and his $275 frock coat. Line of dusters ($130 to $210) and $75 double-breasted vest look as though they come from the movie Tombstone. (His women’s Western wear is right out of Bad Girls.)
